About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker to drive revenue within a fast-paced logistics brokerage environment. This role will have full ownership of customer acquisition, freight execution, account growth, and margin performance. This is a performance-driven sales role where you will build and grow your own book of business, close new shipper accounts, and manage freight from quote through final delivery. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, comfortable working independently, and confident managing both the sales and operational side of freight brokerage. This opportunity is ideal for a logistics professional who thrives in a commission-driven environment, understands freight markets, and takes ownership of revenue generation, customer relationships, and long-term account growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation sales
  • Proven ability to generate new business and consistently close deals
  • Experience building or managing a book of business preferred
  • Strong understanding of freight markets, carrier operations, transportation pricing, and margin management
  • Ability to independently manage both sales activity and freight execution
  • Direct logistics or freight brokerage experience required — non-industry sales backgrounds will not be considered
  • Strong negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing freight from quote through delivery preferred
  • Comfortable working in a commission-driven sales environment with clear performance expectations

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, relationship development, and customer acquisition efforts
  • Build and grow a book of business within the freight brokerage and transportation market
  • Develop relationships with shippers, carriers, and logistics partners
  • Negotiate rates, pricing, and freight solutions while protecting margins and service quality
  • Manage freight from quote through pickup, tracking, delivery, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with carriers and customers to ensure shipments are executed successfully and on time
  • Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the transportation lifecycle
  • Track sales activity, margins, freight movement, and account performance within CRM and brokerage systems
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, repeat business, and long-term partnerships
  • Operate independently in a high-performance, commission-driven environment
