About The Position

A Ziegenfelder Freezer Technician is responsible for pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking them properly on pallets. This role involves checking all products for proper coding, ensuring the correct amount of product is neatly stacked, and that all boxes meet quality standards. The technician will maintain warehouse organization using the FIFO method, wrap palletized product with plastic stretch wrap, and ensure proper tags are printed and posted. Key responsibilities include accurately entering inventory into tracking systems, properly locating palletized product for picking, and picking palletized product for shipping. The technician will also communicate with operations to ensure raw material availability for each shift, assist with unloading raw materials, and handle the picking, shipping, and receiving of both raw and finished goods. Additionally, they will assess production needs to ensure efficient operation, assist with maintaining adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving raw material shipments. Compliance with all environmental, health, and safety directives, policies, and procedures is mandatory, as is maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1 - 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate electric powered forklifts and electric powered pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to work in cold temperatures.
  • Must be available to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking on pallets properly.

  • Ensuring organization in the warehouse using the (FIFO – First in - First out) method.

  • Ensuring proper tags are printed and posted on all palletized products.
  • Ensuring that inventory is properly entered in appropriate inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensuring all palletized product is properly located in warehouse for picking.
  • Picking palletized product for shipping.
  • Communicating with operations to ensure the correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.
  • Assisting with unloading all raw materials.
  • Picking, shipping, and receiving of raw and finished goods.
  • Assessing production to ensure adequate supplies to operate efficiently.
  • Assisting with maintaining adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving shipments of raw materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and Ziegenfelder environmental, health, and safety directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
