Freezer Associate - Stacker/Palletizing
About The Position
This is a full-time position in the Warehouse Production Department at Hershey's Ice Cream in Harrisburg, PA. The role involves working as part of an ice cream production crew, focusing on palletizing and preparing finished products for shipping. The position offers a consistent schedule, typically averaging a 50-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with a First Shift option from 4:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm or completion. Employees benefit from consistent overtime pay at 1.5x after 40 hours, a full uniform program paid for by the company, 100% company-paid healthcare and life insurance for the employee, and a 401K with company match.
Requirements
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for majority of shift
- Must be able to complete twisting and reaching motions while seated
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug screens and criminal background checks
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Food manufacturing environment experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Work as part of ice cream production crew palletizing and preparing finished products for shipping
- Train in multiple stations of quality control, robotic palletizing, manual palletizing, and forklift operation
- Maintain highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and production requirements
- Observe all safety procedures, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Other responsibilities as they are assigned
