Join our team of seasoned professionals and become a part of the fabric of the New York food scene. Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking Freezer associates to join our Team! This role is responsible for a variety of tasks including the overall organization and maintenance of the Freezer department, supporting various departments that allocate their product within the warehouse's freezer.

Requirements

• Ability to work both independently as well as with a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, carrying, push/pull weight
• Ability to work in freezer temperatures and other temperature controlled environments
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed, and the in the correct uniform

Responsibilities

• Perform general operational tasks including but not limited to: proper Receiving, Labeling, Product Rotation, FIFO organization, etc.
• Maintain department appearance, cleanliness, and organization standards in compliance with Citarella Policies and food safety/sanitation handling procedures
• Assist with inventory maintenance
• Always maintain professionalism and treat everyone with respect and courtesy.
• Other reasonably assigned duties as per business needs
