Freelance Writer for Computer Science Curriculum
About The Position
We are hiring a freelance Subject Matter Expert with a background in teaching Cybersecurity to middle school students to help develop educational resources. The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator passionate about encouraging young people to explore Computer Science and STEM. The product will include 10 units of study, with each unit consisting of 5500 - 8000 words. Work is expected to begin immediately. Candidates may be invited to participate in a paid audition to demonstrate their writing abilities. eDynamic Learning is the largest publisher of elective and CTE educational resources for 6th-12th grades in North America.
Requirements
- Teaching experience at the middle school or high school level
- Ability to write in an engaging and conversational style appropriate for 10 to 14-year-olds
- Ability to disseminate knowledge via writing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative
- Deadline-driven
- Ability to apply constructive feedback
- Curriculum planning experience
- Can work remotely as part of a large team, using a variety of technologies
Responsibilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word
- Willingness to work in Dropbox
- Preparedness to communicate and collaborate regularly with other team members
