About The Position
Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join their team. This is a part-time, freelance position associated with the Multimedia Department. The college is creating a registry of qualified photographers to be deployed as needed for day/evening/weekend assignments. A vacancy may not currently exist. The part-time positions report to the Associate Director of Multimedia & Video Services or his/her designee.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional photography experience.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, nights and weekends, as required to cover assignments.
- Excellent communication, time management, organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to move, lift, set up and break down photography equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to capture events with on camera flash/speedlights.
- Knowledge of photo editing software, preferably Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom).
Nice To Haves
- Prior professional experience in photojournalism, photography, communications or marketing.
- Proficiency in shooting with DSLR cameras.
Responsibilities

- Edit photos using photo editing software, preferably Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom).
