About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individual to join their team as an Assistant Baseball Coach on the Non-Teaching Professional staff for the Department of Athletics. This position is part of the Department of Athletics and is a 12-month, Part-Time seasonal role with a salary of $1,000. Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Background in baseball as a coach and/or athlete.
• Appreciation for junior college athletics.
• Sincere commitment to principles of academic/athletic integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Valid New York State driver license.
• Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in organizing and administering all facets of the Hudson Valley Community College Baseball program.
• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes.
• Game Day preparation.
• Plan and conduct pre-season, practice, post season and film sessions.
• Recruit student-athletes (Possible Travel).
• Scout opponents.
• Report statistical and program updates as needed.
• Attend all home and away events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
