The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Fraud Investigator to investigate and prepare cases of alleged public assistance fraud and/or related crimes for prosecution and recovery of overpayments. This role involves reviewing complaints of alleged public assistance fraud, interviewing witnesses and complainants, conducting investigations, gathering evidence, writing investigation reports, and referring cases for prosecution. The investigator will also handle violations for administrative hearings and sanctions and testify as a State witness. This work requires extensive personal contact, the use of investigative and collection techniques, and statewide travel.
