About The Position

Q2 is seeking an Operations Director to lead operational execution for the Fraud Intelligence Product Line organization. This team is responsible for protecting customers, platforms, and transactions at scale. The role is central to the organization, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners (including GTM, Sales, and Support) to drive business performance and operational excellence within the Fraud domain. The Fraud Intelligence organization designs and operates systems that detect, prevent, and respond to fraud across millions of transactions. With an annual operating budget comprising a multi-million portfolio, it plays a critical role in ensuring the company operates safely, securely, and at scale. This role reports to the VP, Product & Engineering Operations and serves as a key operational partner to the Managing Director, Fraud Intelligence. Acting as a Chief of Staff–type leader, the individual will drive execution, establish operating rhythms, and build the frameworks that enable Product and Engineering teams to deliver effectively. The role owns and orchestrates the organization’s operating model, including planning cycles, business reviews, performance metrics, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring leadership has the visibility and structure needed to make informed decisions and achieve business goals. This position requires a leader who can move seamlessly between strategy, execution, and organizational design, and who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments, enjoys building structure where none exists, and wants to help scale a mission-critical technology organization.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or operational leadership in large-scale technology organizations.
  • Proven track record of driving execution and delivering results across complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience supporting Product and Engineering organizations at scale.
  • Strong operational rigor with the ability to manage budgets, headcount, and performance tracking.
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders and enabling effective decision-making and execution.
  • Ability to create structure, drive accountability, and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to track performance and inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively across teams and levels.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day operations of the Fraud Intelligence Product Line, ensuring consistent execution against plans and commitments.
  • Own and facilitate the monthly Fraud Business Review, coordinating inputs across Product, Engineering, Finance, and partner teams to provide a clear view of team health, KPIs, operational performance, and financials.
  • Drive leadership operating rhythms including staff meetings, planning cycles, and quarterly business reviews, ensuring agendas, decisions, and follow-ups are tracked and executed.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities and commitments across Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners.
  • Manage operational oversight of a multi-million Product and Engineering portfolio, ensuring spend aligns with plans and business priorities.
  • Partner with Finance to track budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and variances, driving visibility and accountability.
  • Lead headcount tracking, hiring progress, and workforce allocation across teams.
  • Ensure vendor and infrastructure spend is monitored and aligned with delivery needs.
  • Drive execution across Product and Engineering by ensuring clear plans, ownership, and accountability for delivery.
  • Identify and remove blockers to execution, escalating issues and driving resolution across teams.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, GTM, and Support to keep delivery on track.
  • Support strong working relationships across product and technical leadership to ensure consistent execution.
  • Own tracking and reporting of key metrics across: Product delivery and roadmap execution, Engineering throughput and productivity, Financial performance and spend.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that provide real-time visibility into performance.
  • Ensure leadership has clear, actionable insights to support decision-making.
