About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to support fraud detection, investigation, and risk mitigation activities across multiple business channels for a 6 month contract position. In this role, you will monitor fraud alerts, investigate suspicious activity, respond to escalated cases, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to protect customers and the organization from fraud-related losses.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Criminology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in fraud investigations, fraud operations, finance, or a related area.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify fraud indicators and assess suspicious activity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Verafin, Temenos, fraud detection systems, or data analytics tools is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review and investigate fraud alerts and unusual transactions.
• Conduct fraud investigations and determine appropriate escalation actions.
• Support fraud monitoring activities using reporting and case management tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including AML Compliance, on suspicious activity reviews.
• Assist with regulatory requests, fraud reporting, and media scanning.
• Contribute to the development of fraud processes, controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Stay current on emerging fraud trends, scams, and industry best practices.
