About The Position

The Franchise Development Manager helps power the growth of Batteries Plus by driving franchise resales and supporting new unit development. This role manages buyer pipelines, facilitates compliant transactions, and ensures a seamless experience for franchise candidates-from first contact through final approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in franchise sales, business brokerage, or small business transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple pipelines and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a customer-first approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the resale process from documentation to deal close, ensuring smooth transitions between franchise owners.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified resale buyers.
  • Conduct initial vetting of candidates to assess financial and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Franchise Development to move buyers through the approval process.
  • Post, update, and track resale listings, marketing campaigns, and lead sources.
  • Support franchise development efforts by generating and qualifying leads for new franchise opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach calls, coordinate discovery days, and track candidate progress in CRM systems.
  • Maintain compliance with franchise disclosure and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare weekly reports on activity, KPIs, and deal status for leadership review.
  • Represent Batteries Plus at trade shows, conferences, and internal brand events.
