About The Position

The Franchise Development Manager supports Wingstop’s domestic growth strategy by identifying and recruiting qualified franchise candidates. This role manages the franchise sales process from lead generation through the signing of franchise agreements, ensuring a smooth, consistent experience for prospective partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in franchise development, business development, or sales; restaurant/retail preferred.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales or development goals.
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of franchise processes, FDD structure, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, including the ability to build clear, persuasive presentations
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and data-tracking tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new domestic development by sourcing, vetting, and onboarding qualified franchise prospects.
  • Manage the full franchise sales lifecycle, including lead management, discovery, financial review, and agreement execution.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Development, and cross-functional teams to align market strategies and ensure a seamless handoff to development execution.
  • Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline, utilizing CRM tools to track engagement and conversions.
  • Support territory planning and market prioritization efforts in alignment with brand growth strategies.
  • Represent Wingstop at industry conferences and franchise trade shows to promote the opportunity.
  • Provide guidance to prospective franchisees throughout their evaluation and onboarding process.
  • Conduct financial and operational due diligence with support from internal partners.
  • Contribute to overall franchise portfolio health by supporting accountability to development agreements and growth commitments.
