Requirements

3-5 years of experience with Steel-Stud Framing and Drywall Installation
The ability to work with a plan that is supported plan with facts and data
High degree of respect, professionalism, safety consciousness, and integrity
Strong attention to quality and detail skills
Willingness to learn and develop
Reading skills to be able to read instructions on various tasks related to the work being completed
Mathematical Skills to be able to add, subtract and multiply figures and measurements
Must be aware of safety practices, for example when using ladders, scaffolds, power tools, knives and materials

Responsibilities

Erect metal stud framework, and install door and window frames
Install interior/exterior heavy and light gauge framing for all applications, using hand and power tools
Attach metal lath and beads
Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring using nails, screws, clips or wire ties
Ensure the safe loading, staging and cleaning of the site
Adhere to all FundyPros Health and Safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe boots, masks and other safety personal protective equipment
Adhere to fall arrest practices, and other construction safety procedures
Report near misses, or potential safety threats and or accidents immediately to foreman
