About The Position

Hometown Builders Unlimited is seeking a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer to lead their marketing strategy and build a steady, measurable flow of qualified leads. This role requires one day per week in their Slinger, Wisconsin office, with the remaining work potentially completed remotely. The ideal candidate will work directly with leadership, have a seat at the table, and possess clear business goals with real influence over the company's marketing direction. This position is not about managing random tasks or just posting on social media, but rather about building a marketing system that produces qualified opportunities, tracks performance, and supports the long-term direction of the business. Success will be measured by qualified leads generated per month and cost per qualified lead, focusing on real business results rather than vanity metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience producing measurable marketing results for home-service companies
  • Ability to connect marketing activity to qualified leads
  • Takes responsibility for results and doesn’t hide behind reports
  • Communicates clearly and follows through
  • Protects the brand and cares about the quality of the work
  • Ability to lead vendors, agencies, and internal team members
  • Brings ideas, but also knows how to test, measure, and improve them
  • Works well with direct access to ownership and leadership
  • Can work from our Slinger office one day per week
  • Always looking for ways to raise the standard
  • Experience is not mostly outside the home-service world
  • Focuses on qualified opportunities rather than vanity metrics
  • Does not need someone else to organize every priority
  • Does not make excuses when campaigns miss the mark
  • Can explain marketing performance in plain language

  • Manage Google Ads
  • Oversee Meta advertising
  • Build audience-targeting strategies
  • Improve campaign conversion rates
  • Coordinate retargeting campaigns and lead funnels
  • Oversee website updates
  • Improve search rankings
  • Keep website content accurate and current
  • Improve landing-page conversion
  • Strengthen user experience and site performance
  • Build the company’s social media strategy
  • Create content calendars
  • Direct photo and video content
  • Plan reels, testimonials, project showcases, and educational videos
  • Develop seasonal campaigns and promotional ideas
  • Keep the brand consistent across every platform
  • Track website traffic, conversions, and lead sources
  • Measure advertising performance
