About The Position
Nienhuis Financial Group is seeking a Fractional CFO/Controller focused on small business. The firm provides fractional and managerial accounting services to private companies with $1–75 million in revenue across various industries, including both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, providing financials and controller services, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The position may or may not supervise a small team. It is full-time, salaried, and exempt.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Strong technical and interpersonal leadership.
- Ability to lead teams, including coaching, delegation, and performance management.
- High proficiency with accounting software.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management, or a related field.
- 10 or more years of accounting experience.
- 2 or more years of supervisory or project lead experience.
Nice To Haves
- MBA or master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2 or more years of client management experience.
- CPA preferred.
