About The Position

Responsible for safely handling, and distributing natural dry gas for Frac Operations. The operator is expected to regulate desired gas temperature which should optimize fuel substitution performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical documents.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Know Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise rig up/rig down of all frac fuel equipment, purge pack and line up valves for proper operations.
  • Operate pumps, valves, meters, and related equipment to transfer dry gas between pipeline, and Frac operations.
  • Monitor fuel flow rates, product levels, using manual and automated systems.
  • Conduct tank gauging, perform lines & checks.
  • Prepare and load/unload fuel equipment and transport in compliance with facility and DOT requirements.
  • Perform routine checks and testing for water vapor samples, water levels, and other specification requirements.
  • Document results and escalate abnormalities to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of system to prevent contamination across product types.
  • Follow all OSHA, DOT, and facility safety guidelines.
  • Participate in safety audits, emergency response drills, and hazard recognition activities.
  • Use appropriate PPE, comply with lockout/tag out procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Inspect equipment as daily basis and report any issues requiring repair.
  • Assist maintenance teams with preventive maintenance on pumps, filters, hoses, and meters.
  • Keep records of maintenance, fuel movements, and system performance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of fuel receipts, transfers, shipments, and testing results.
  • Operate computerized inventory or CYGNET systems for reporting.
  • Provide shift handover notes to ensure continuity of operations.
