About The Position

The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (Global Energy Alliance) works for a world where everyone has access to affordable, reliable, clean electricity and the means to use it to improve their lives. Our Alliance builds transformative public, private, philanthropic partnerships to end energy poverty and accelerate green economic opportunity. Founded in 2021 by The Rockefeller Foundation, IKEA Foundation, and Bezos Earth Fund, we design innovative projects/programs, unlock finance, strengthen institutions and transform markets, delivering progress anchored in deep community engagement. By uniting actors across the value chain, from households to heads of state, we go beyond individual projects to drive lasting systems change. With work in more than 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, our Alliance aims to reach 1 billion people with clean electricity, prevent 4 billion tons of carbon emissions and create or improve 150 million jobs. The FP&A Manager will report to Managing Director Global Finance with a dotted line to Controller and work closely with the US finance team to ensure the efficient and accurate financial operation of the US entity. The FP&A Manager is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for strengthening the organization's financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis capabilities while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the U.S. organization. This is a hands-on role that combines financial planning and analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and U.S. financial operations. The FP&A Manager will work closely with the CFO, finance leadership, program and operational leaders, fundraising, and global colleagues to ensure that financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building a financial model, explaining a budget variance to a program leader, preparing a month-end journal entry, reconciling a bank account, and presenting financial insights to senior leadership. As a global nonprofit, the Global Energy Alliance operates across multiple countries and programs. The FP&A Manager will therefore help connect U.S. financial reporting and operations with global planning, forecasting and resource allocation, and will collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple time zones and cultural environments.
