About The Position

K1x is seeking an FP&A Manager to join its growing finance team. This newly created role will be instrumental in establishing financial rigor, forecasting discipline, and investor-grade reporting for a fast-scaling, PE-backed SaaS business. The FP&A Manager will partner with department leaders, build financial models, prepare investor reporting packages, and support strategic decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with the CEO, CFO, and executive team, as well as the accounting department, to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possess strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience, ideally from private equity, investment banking, or a transaction advisory practice (e.g., PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, RSM, Baker Tilly, CBIZ), or comparable in-house FP&A experience
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, PE-backed environment with evolving processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Familiarity with SaaS/subscription business metrics

Nice To Haves

  • CFA, CPA, or MBA a plus
  • NetSuite experience a strong plus, as it's K1x's system of record for accounting and finance

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, partnering with department leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and G&A
  • Build and maintain financial models covering revenue, unit economics, headcount, and cash runway to support board- and investor-level decision making
  • Prepare recurring board and investor reporting packages, including key SaaS metrics such as ARR, net revenue retention, CAC/LTV, gross margin, and burn multiple
  • Deliver monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast) with clear, actionable commentary for leadership
  • Support scenario planning and ad hoc analyses tied to growth initiatives, pricing, and resource allocation
  • Help stand up and improve FP&A tools, systems, and processes as the finance function scales post-investment
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive team on materials for board meetings, investor updates, and potential M&A activity
  • Partner closely with Accounting on close-related deliverables (revenue recognition, reconciliations, month-end close) so forecasts tie cleanly back to reported actuals

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity participation
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible PTO and company-recognized holidays
  • Fully remote work environment
  • 401(k) program
  • Paid parental leave
