About The Position

brightfin provides clients with a suite of IT financial management and managed software subscriptions to enable your organization to rationalize, comprehend, normalize, optimize, and allocate spend to clearly show IT’s value in delivering revenue, services, and organizational enablement for the enterprise. We are hiring a hands-on FP&A Manager to own the day-to-day execution of financial planning, forecasting, and modeling for our SaaS business. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is highly focused on building, improving, and maintaining detailed financial models and reports that drive operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • CPA and/or MBA.
  • 5–8+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
  • Prior experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks / workstreams and delegate as appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Deep experience with business performance forecasting and scenario modeling
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience with major ERP system required; experience with NetSuite preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and own updates to financial models for revenue, expenses, cash flow, headcount, and SaaS metrics
  • Maintain and refine rolling forecasts and detailed budgeting templates
  • Track and model SaaS performance indicators: ARR/MRR, churn, retention, CAC, LTV, cohort performance, etc.
  • Construct monthly, and quarterly financial reports and metrics and analyze variances
  • Dive into ad-hoc analytics requests, extracting insights and translating them into explanations and recommendations
  • Support financial diligence, valuation modeling, and scenario analysis for potential M&A opportunities
  • Assist with integration modeling and post-acquisition performance tracking as needed
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to understand drivers of performance and model impacts at a granular level
  • Participate in and reviews aspects of the month end close process
  • Lead Sales commission variable compensation calculation and financial administration
  • Ensure financial data integrity and alignment between actuals and models
  • Prepare and deliver regular financial reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting, COO, CEO, and Board of Directors
  • Clearly articulate model assumptions, limitations, and insights to non-finance stakeholders
