About The Position

The FP&A Manager, Americas Finance role is part of Kearney’s Americas Finance team and will report to Director of FP&A. This role serves as a trusted business partner to Finance and firm leadership, providing financial insights and analysis that support informed decision-making, operational excellence, and long-term business performance. The FP&A Manager will play a key role in forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, performance analysis, and ad hoc financial planning and analysis. Working independently and collaboratively across the organization, this individual will proactively identify trends, communicate insights, and develop value-added analyses that help improve profitability and financial performance. The role will support The Americas Region; North America.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; an MBA/CPA is preferred.
  • Have 7+ years of related finance, accounting, or FP&A experience; professional services experience is a plus.
  • Bring deep finance and accounting knowledge, including demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex financial issues into clear insights that support decision-making.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline- and team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Have experience with SAP; Power BI and Anaplan are a plus.
  • Bring a collaborative approach and excellent listening skills.
  • Can work effectively in a hybrid environment, with specific in-office expectations to be confirmed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support monthly/quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, partnering with stakeholders to develop accurate, actionable financial plans.
  • Conduct performance analysis across actuals, forecasts, budgets, and other relevant benchmarks to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze SG&A performance and develop insights that support productive discussions with functional leaders.
  • Conduct profitability analyses at the practice and account levels to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Review staff utilization and client hours to identify trends and implications for financial performance.
  • Evaluate investments and ROI to support resource allocation and business decisions.
  • Support the month-end close process and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results.
  • Partner closely with project financials teams and project teams to support accurate revenue recognition.
  • Review costs at the general ledger level to help ensure overall P&L integrity.
  • Perform variance analysis across actuals, forecasts, plans, and other relevant financial measures.
  • Identify and communicate key drivers of financial performance to Finance and business leadership.
  • Support firm leaders with insightful financial reporting and analysis that facilitates informed decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities to improve profitability, reporting, and business performance.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and analyses from local and practice leadership, balancing immediate business needs with broader Finance priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes, reporting, financial models, and analytical capabilities.
  • Support strategic Finance initiatives, including the development of profitability models, cost-rate studies, and other analyses that strengthen financial decision-making.
  • Support SAP implementation and related initiatives from a business and Finance perspective.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve the quality, efficiency, and consistency of financial information and reporting.
