Position Summary: The FP&A Analyst partners with Finance and cross-functional teams to strengthen planning, forecasting, and performance management through scalable analytics, automation, and business intelligence. This role combines core FP&A disciplines (budget, forecasting, variance analysis, and driver analysis) with modern data capabilities (SQL/Python, BI dashboards, data pipelines) to deliver timely, accurate, decision-ready insights to leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience (including internships/co-ops) in FP&A, finance analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Proficient in Intermediate financial modeling skills.
  • Working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Basic SQL skills; learning Python/automation.
  • Exposure to ERP/reporting systems and data structures.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in statistics/forecasting; consumer goods exposure a plus.
  • Experience in the food (preferably meat protein) or consumer goods industries.
  • Understanding of data management principles, data architecture, and systems (ERP, data warehouses, cloud platforms).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts, data visualization, best practices, and dashboard performance tuning.
  • Experience with planning platforms (Qlik, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan) and data integration.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with APIs and automation/orchestration tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning cycles (budget, forecast, long-range planning) and build basic models with guidance.
  • Produce standard variance analysis and support price-volume-mix (PVM) analysis.
  • Refresh and maintain dashboards, improve templates, and support scheduled reporting.
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliations, and documentation; flag data issues.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packs and summarize findings for stakeholders.
  • Follow metric definitions and documentation; support controls and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Finance, production, sales, operations, and scheduling teams.
