About The Position

RESA Power is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Financial Analyst to support forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. The role partners with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial insights and improve reporting efficiency. It is a remote position, preferably based in Texas or Florida, with travel as needed up to 25%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting experience.
Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Experience with financial systems or ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Knowledge of GAAP principles.
Ability to manage large datasets and automate reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
Support annual budgeting and long-range financial planning.
Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets; identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting financial performance.
Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
Assist with executive-level presentations and board materials.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across reporting systems.
Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Evaluate cost structures and profitability drivers and recommend actions to improve financial performance.
Partner with department leaders on strategic initiatives.
Streamline budgeting and reporting processes.
Enhance financial models and reporting tools.
Support implementation or optimization of financial systems.
