About The Position

Stoneham Public Schools is seeking a Fourth Grade Teacher to join their team at Robin Hood School. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering educational experiences aligned with the Stoneham Public School’s curriculum. This role involves creating a supportive learning environment that fosters the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of every student, ensuring their success. The teacher will supervise students in various school-related settings, monitor and evaluate student progress, and maintain open communication with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes student involvement and achievement of learning objectives.
• Provide an instructional program tailored to the needs of every student.
• Guide the learning process towards curriculum goals, establishing and communicating clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate students and enable them to achieve learning objectives.
• Ensure the safety of students, equipment, materials, and facilities by taking necessary precautions.
• Build respectful relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
• Continuously evaluate and improve professional effectiveness and competence.
• Perform other duties as required.
