Requirements

Champion of safety!
Basic hand tool knowledge.
Ability to meet physical requirements: standing, lifting, bending, and using safety equipment.
Dependability and a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Excellent listening skills and adherence to safety procedures; you see something, you say something!

Prepared for a work environment that requires a high level of resilience and hard work.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Forklift license is advantageous!

Responsibilities

Rotating between foundry operations
Filling in for DISA and furnace crew members
Supporting production where needed to keep operations running smoothly
Moving molten iron using hoists and ladles
Operating forklifts and small equipment
Assisting with basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
Performing cleanup tasks and material handling
Working around heavy equipment, high temperatures, and moving machinery
Constant attention, clear communication, and strict adherence to all required protective equipment and safety procedures
