About The Position

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Foundry Rover 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21.71 per hour. The hours for this shift are 2:00 pm to 12:30am. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six months continuous manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • Follow all safety regulations associated.
  • Understand and utilize the lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to become respirator fit and utilize respirator procedures.
  • Work at varied heights using fall protection as required.
  • Work in and understand confined spaces.
  • Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all employees throughout plant.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions: use SAP, eSafety, MESH Prism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience setting up and operating mold equipment (DISA), core equipment (Shalco), shakeout line (Pangborn and shakeout tables), and grinding equipment (face and snag grinder, autogrinder).
  • Experience with melt department functions such as operating a monorail or magnetic crane, charging furnaces, or managing Junker auto-pouring system.
  • Forklift and frontend loader certified.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functions and duties of all positions in the foundry to provide coverage to production needs in the core, melt, mold, and grinding departments.
  • Perform duties related to the setup, operation and troubleshooting of mold machines, core machines, grinders, shakeout and furnace/pour deck operation, including operating a jackhammer, mag crane, monorail, pour equipment, and forklift.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained at appropriate levels of cleanliness, and utility according to schedules defined.
  • Recognize, document, and notify supervision of mechanical malfunctions and operating irregularities within the melt, mold, core, and grinding departments.
  • Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions in melt, mold, core, and grinding departments.
  • Follow predetermined production schedules to satisfy customers.
  • Use production documentation to track equipment downtime, setup, and production events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.
