Responsible for the maintenance and repair of ladles and vessels, including relining AOD vessels and bottom pour ladles with multi-components, making stopper rods, cleaning old linings with a chipping gun, installing appropriate linings, removing burned bricks from the AOD vessel and re-bricking it. This role also involves positioning and moving ladles, vessels, and refractory materials using an overhead crane. The position requires ensuring the work area is clean and hazard-free, participating in safety, health, and environmental programs, updating refractory applications, and ensuring all ladles, ladle components, and vessels meet process and quality requirements. Additionally, the role involves data collection and input, maintaining a good work ethic and attendance record, a positive attitude, and participating in lean initiatives (6S, Visual Management, Kaizen). Other duties may be assigned by the company.
