About The Position

Kutztown Foundry and Machine is hiring for a Foundry Supervisor. In this position you will manage the day to day activities of the Foundry and Melt Shop, including inventory and equipment. You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years in a related manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED is required

Nice To Haves

Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team
Understand and have a working knowledge of all jobs in the foundry as required to meet the department goals and plans
Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
Strong communication skills
Associates Degree or applicable related work experience

Responsibilities

Assisting and supporting the foundry manager in accomplishing department goals and plans
Leading your team, to include coaching, mentoring, and realigning workloads
Enforcing all company rules and regulations, initiating necessary discipline, and ensuring all work areas and equipment are clean and orderly
Developing performance expectations of the department employees
Driving quality improvement activities
Creating individual work assignments to accomplish tasks set forth by department manager
Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
