About The Position

Gemini is looking for a 2nd shift Foundry Specialist to join the team at our location in Decorah, IA! This position is responsible for pouring molten metal into molds, troubleshooting problems encountered in the pouring process, and assembling components of sand-molds. Requirements

• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 75lbs occasionally.
• Maintains responsibility for the safety of oneself and other employees in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Pours molten metal into molds, observing and adjusting to achieve acceptable, repeatable results.
• Troubleshoots problems encountered in the pouring process and actively gathers feedback on quality of castings
• Charges and maintains the melting furnace in preparation for pouring.
• Ensures proper melt by adjusting temperatures, cleaning, and preparing as required.
• Assembles all components of sand-molds, placing adhesive and insuring proper alignment.
• Utilizes multiple hand tools - saws, drills, sanders
