Requirements

  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens)
  • Linux environments and scripting (Python, Tcl, shell)
  • Familiarity with tapeout flows and regression validation
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and process difficulty
  • Ability to lead multiple releases and timelines
  • Effective cross-team communication

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with foundry interfaces (TSMC, IFS, etc.)
  • Background in CAD automation and infrastructure
  • Experience with large-scale PDK release management
  • Knowledge of version control and environment management systems

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate secure download of foundry collateral (e.g., TSMC PDKs, IP bundles) from approved channels
  • Track delivery schedules and completeness of collateral versus plan
  • Enforce NDA and access-control policies for restricted foundry data
  • Install and configure PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environments
  • Align toolchain versions with foundry recommendations
  • Maintain directory structures and environment setup for multi-node support
  • Complete PDK validation pipeline: Unit testing (DRC/LVS/ERC/PERC, models, libraries)
  • Smoke testing of end-to-end CAD flows
  • Regression testing versus prior PDK releases
  • Confirm that all validation checkpoints are satisfied before transferring to establish teams
  • Package and distribute validated PDK environments to form teams
  • Maintain version control across collateral, PDK, and EDA toolchains
  • Publish release notes and supported flow documentation
  • Detail PDK versions per project/tapeout
  • Record collateral dependencies and configurations
  • Ensure reproducibility of build environments and signoff flows
  • Develop automation for validation and regression testing flows
  • Improve efficiency and reduce manual setup time
  • Work closely with: Foundry partners for issue resolution
  • Work closely with: Custom and/or digital build flows
