About The Position
Fulmer/Perma-Cast is seeking a Foundry Caster Helper to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the Foundry and making parts for customers. This position requires accuracy and responsibility, as many duties must be performed without close supervision. Training and/or experience using Foundry hot metal Molds including Furnace(s) apparatus is preferred. A minimum of 3-6 months of on-the-job training under close supervision is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
- Minimum 3-6 months on the job training under close supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Training and/or experience using Foundry hot metal Molds including Furnace(s) apparatus is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Proper Setup and Safe operation of hot metal molds.
- Utilizes Foundry principles of metal melting, pouring (ladling), solidifying and familiar with proper handling opening and closing of hot metal (permanent molds or others).
- Inspection of work
- Following Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
