About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing essential job functions in a foundry environment, including post-offer screening for pre-existing medical conditions. Eligibility requires meeting WorkKeys minimum score requirements in Applied Math, Workplace Documents, and Graphic Literacy.

Undergo post-offer screening for pre-existing medical conditions or injuries.

Responsibilities

Follow instructions and directions to perform a variety of miscellaneous duties, including but not limited to duties in the cleaning room, core room, melt deck, Osborn, and lost foam.
Observe company safety rules and regulations.
Practice good housekeeping.
Set cores in green sand molds on the Osborn molding line.
Responsible for checking cores and mold's quality before cores are set and mold is closed.
Perform material handling duties as required utilizing fork truck when needed.
Assist Osborn operator with pattern changes.
Clean up the core setting station and other areas around the molding line.
Remove burrs, fins, and gates using floor-mounted and handheld grinding tools.
Monitor equipment & report unusual conditions to supervisor.
Inspect castings visually.
Report any questionable scrap to supervisor.
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.
Use pneumatic tools.
Operate a licensed forklift.
May require annual training in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) if involved in the management of hazardous waste.
