About The Position

This role is responsible for the setup and operation of foundry furnaces and die-casting cells to ensure a continuous and efficient production line. The specialist will manage molten metal flow, operate furnaces, deliver aluminum to machines, and set up die-casting equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of forklift experience with a valid license.
Ability to lift/push/pull/carry: 5 lbs constantly, 35 lbs frequently, 75 lbs occasionally.
Frequent movement: sit, stand, kneel, climb, bend, stoop.
Comfort working from written/verbal instructions under general supervision; seeks guidance on unusual procedures/irregularities.

Nice To Haves

Technical diploma.
1+ year proven furnace operation knowledge across cleaning, operation, and maintenance.
Die-casting environment experience prior to hire or assignment.

Responsibilities

Run furnaces to melt aluminum ingots and scrap, adjusting temperatures and charging per direction.
Oversee the schedule for molten metal distribution to machines, maintaining stable central melt temperature and uninterrupted supplies.
Assist with cooldowns, check furnace linings and distribution ladles for defects, and support repair activities.
Perform material handling, operating lift trucks safely and efficiently.
Set up die-casting cells when required, including ladle systems, auto-spray, robots, and trim presses; swap dies and fine-tune machine settings.
Model safety leadership while filling ladles, driving lift trucks, and pouring metal during machine set-ups to protect teammates.
