Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
1+ years of experience in a die casting environment.
Standing role with walking, bending, and stooping; heavier material handling may occur during setup.
Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying: 5 lbs. constantly, 35 lbs. frequently, 75 lbs. occasionally.
Potential hazards include serious cuts, burns, bruises, and possible permanent injury; goggles and heavy gloves required.
Regular exposure to heat, dirt, grease, fumes, and noise above 85 dB (hearing protection required when exposure exceeds 85 dB).
Comfort taking verbal direction from a supervisor.
Ability to read, write, and interpret simple drawings.

Responsibilities

Set up and run die casting machines to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
Visually inspect parts and verify the condition of dies throughout production.
Remove/replace die casting dies, adjust machine parameters, and prepare equipment for production runs.
Obtain Supervisor or Group Leader sign-off on setup before running.
Assist maintenance with repairs as instructed to sustain uptime.
Configure and operate auxiliary equipment: ladle, auto-spray, robotic systems, and trim press.
Follow gauging and part-checking procedures on the prescribed timeline.
Work from verbal instructions and Process Sheets.
