Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two-to-four-year related experience and/or training; or documented equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Pass a company specific, electrical/controls-based test.
  • National Electrical Code application.
  • Safety training including Arc Flash Training.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrician specific certificate of completion, documentation or licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on facility electrical systems and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution equipment from 480V and below.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair AC and DC industrial control systems, including PLC I/O, VFDs, HMIs, safety controllers, and associated circuits.
  • Review and interpret machine-specific documentation, including equipment manuals and online technical resources.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail when installing, servicing, or modifying electrical equipment.
  • Utilize electrical schematics and equipment specifications (voltage, amperage, transformer operation, hydraulic valve operation, pneumatic equipment operation) to ensure proper application and prevent equipment damage.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by dismantling defective machines or components and installing new or repaired parts. Contact supervisor when additional support is required.
