As we launch amp Retail, we are looking for Founding Leaders who aspire to not just manage a store but to be a part of building something special. We are redefining the future of strength—and we want you to shape it. As our Founding Store Manager, you are the face of amp in your community. You are the architect of the customer experience, responsible for transforming curiosity into obsession. This is not a role for someone who needs a playbook—it is a role for someone who writes one. You will build our culture, cultivate a local community of high-performers, and lead the charge in establishing amp as the cornerstone of premium strength training in your market.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in premium retail leadership, boutique fitness, or fitness-tech experience.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, energized by the startup environment, and have a track record of building or launching something from the ground up.
  • Personal commitment to a structured, data-informed fitness. Ability to use metrics to train smarter and teach others to do the same.
  • Innate ability to create word-of-mouth. Understanding that sales is an outcome of trust, community engagement, and genuine connection.
  • Ability to spot top talent and a proven history of developing team members who grow alongside the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in high-caliber brands (e.g., Peloton, Equinox, Apple, Nike, Lululemon) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for the amp brand, curating an immersive, high-energy environment that brings our technology to life, ensuring every visitor experiences the power of AI-coached, adaptive resistance training.
  • Spearhead outreach strategies that go beyond the four walls of the showroom. Build deep, lasting partnerships with local athletic clubs, boutique studios, fitness influencers, and corporate wellness programs to embed amp into the local fitness ecosystem.
  • Translate complex technology—such as real-time biometrics, digital weight, and AI-driven form correction—into deeply personal, benefit-driven narratives that resonate with every level of athlete.
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a world-class team of fitness consultants. Build a culture rooted in product obsession, consultative relationship-building, and an authentic passion for the science of training.
  • Maintain full ownership of the store’s P&L and operational health, leading through the lens of growth, optimizing labor and local marketing investment to ensure the showroom is a profitable, thriving hub of activity.
  • Act as the direct conduit between the consumer and our corporate product team, reporting on local trends, customer insights, and pipeline health to shape the future of our hardware and software.
