About The Position

Thorin is building proactive, long-horizon AI agents that continuously understand what is happening across an organization and help teams execute over weeks, months, and years. Rather than waiting for prompts, Thorin develops a living understanding of how a business actually operates. Born out of 8VC's Build program and backed by one of Silicon Valley's strongest venture ecosystems, Thorin is building the operating system for the AI-native enterprise. We are looking for a Founding Senior AI Product Engineer to help build the future of AI-native work. This is a player-coach role for someone who wants to help define what AI-native product engineering looks like. You will be one of our most hands-on builders, shipping AI products daily while setting the technical bar and raising the level of the engineers around you. You'll work across LLMs, agents, infrastructure, workflows, and product experiences, turning ambiguous problems into systems customers love. We are looking for someone who is deeply AI-native — not simply someone who uses AI tools occasionally, but someone who naturally thinks about agents, leverage, and how AI changes the way products are built. You should be excited by the idea that software increasingly acts, reasons, and collaborates rather than simply responds. This person will lead primarily through execution, not hierarchy. You'll mentor through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and example, while remaining deeply hands-on in the code every day.
