About The Position

Our client is a fast-growing 20-person Series A company revolutionizing AI infrastructure management. They're building cutting-edge post-deployment AI tools that help engineers focus on what they do best - creating exceptional products. With strong momentum and preparing for Series B fundraising, they're transitioning from founder-led sales to building a world-class team. We're seeking a Founding Recruiter to build the talent function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth AI company at an inflection point and define how they attract, evaluate, and close top-tier technical talent.

Requirements

  • 2-7 years in recruiting, talent, or high-touch people-facing roles (SDR, AE, partnerships welcome)
  • Proven track record closing candidates with multiple competitive offers
  • Experience with outbound recruiting or sales - you know how to get responses and build relationships
  • Comfort with technical roles (engineering, infrastructure, devtools) or ability to quickly develop technical literacy
  • Strong talent instincts - can articulate why someone is exceptional beyond just checking boxes
  • High agency and entrepreneurial mindset - you identify what needs to happen and execute
  • Excellent communication skills - compelling written and verbal communication

  • Recruited engineers at venture-backed companies, search firms, or VC talent teams
  • Experience in deeply technical environments working alongside engineers
  • Operational mindset with focus on optimization and efficiency
  • Active use of AI tools for sourcing and outreach

Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruiting funnel - from sourcing and outbound to offer close across engineering, GTM, and operations
  • Run aggressive outbound campaigns - build targeted lists, craft compelling outreach, and convert passive candidates like a top-performing SDR
  • Develop deep talent expertise - quickly learn what exceptional looks like and make sharp advancement decisions
  • Build scalable systems - design recruiting infrastructure including outreach templates, intake processes, ATS optimization, and funnel analytics
  • Be a strategic talent partner - contribute to team planning, compensation strategy, and organizational design
  • Grow beyond recruiting - partner on broader People strategy, candidate experience, and onboarding initiatives
