About The Position

TypeSafe is a frontier model lab focused on building reliable and general AI systems for economically valuable automation. Their mission is to usher in a new era of Transformative Artificial Intelligence (TAI). The company is composed of a small, fast-moving team from OpenAI, Google Brain, and Meta/FAIR, backed by top-tier investors. Since mid-2024, they have been engineering the foundation for models that go beyond current state-of-the-art to actually get things done. This role is for the first internal recruiter hire who will shape the hiring process and systems, build a world-class talent brand, and hire amazing team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in full cycle recruiting with proven success, particularly in scaling strong technical teams
  • Experience scaling teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making judgment calls with imperfect information, and operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • Kind, emotionally aware, and genuinely care for people's wellbeing
  • Bias for action to move quickly and creatively to engage top tier talent
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple searches and priorities simultaneously
  • Excited about our mission and about playing an instrumental role in furthering that mission

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end recruiting function: sourcing, recruiting, coordinating, closing
  • Shape hiring process to craft both a fantastic candidate experience at every touchpoint, from first outreach through offer
  • Run the day to day operations such as interview coordination and quick feedback loops
  • Understand our unique culture and diverse talent needs to hire a world-class team
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build pipelines of highly qualified candidates
  • Build out teams from scratch across multiple functions
  • Define and track recruiting metrics and use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Take a high level strategic view of talent management and planning with the executive team
