About The Position

Hanover Park builds AI systems that run the financial operations of the world’s most sophisticated investment firms. As the first AI-native fund administrator, we’ve become the way fund CFOs adopt AI. We've raised $31 million from Emergence (investor in Salesforce/Zoom), Susa (investor in Robinhood/Flexport) and angel investor fund CFOs from Bain Capital ($180B), Clearlake ($100B), CD&R ($80B), and Hellman & Friedman ($80B). Our mission is to be the financial infrastructure to orchestrate how the world’s capital is operated, governed and allocated. Stripe for payments. Ramp for expenses. Hanover Park for investments. In the next decade, the AI systems we build will advise $100B investment firms on their largest acquisitions and eventually unlock alpha for investors. About the role The product wins because the people behind it are sharper than anyone our customers have ever worked with - ex-Big 4, ex-fund accountants from the top admins, and ex-controllers from top funds. The bar is high. Hiring has been distributed across the leadership team. It's worked, but it doesn't scale. Inbound interest is overwhelming, referrals are pouring in, and real fund accounting services talent is sitting on the table because no one owns the function end-to-end. As our Founding Recruiter for Accounting, you're the first person at Hanover Park whose full-time job is to scale our fund accounting and operations team. You own every accounting and finance search, you build the playbook every future recruiter will run on and turn Hanover Park into a real recruiting machine.

Requirements

  • Industry background in fund accounting or financial services audit (must-have). Most likely a Big 4 assurance associate or senior covering asset management.
  • Understanding of financial terms like 'capital call'.
  • Ability to assess a candidate's practical experience in closing books.
  • 2+ years recruiting accounting, finance, or audit talent into PE/VC/credit firms or fund admins
  • High ownership - proactive engagement with candidates, even outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle hiring for every fund accounting and operations role - Associate to Controller to Director to Treasury Operations across PE, VC, and private credit verticals
  • Sourcing ex-Big 4 assurance seniors, ex-fund accountants from top fund admins and the tier 1 fund accountants work at direct funds
  • Building the playbook - interview loops, scorecards, sourcing channels, outreach, offer benchmarks - from scratch
  • Achieving a real number: hires that stick, ramp, and become A-players inside 30 days
