About The Position

We are establishing a dedicated R&D hub at the Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed) facility in San Antonio, and we're looking for the founding team to make it happen. This is a rare opportunity to join at inception and set the operating standards for a long-term scientific investment in South Texas. We're hiring across leadership, program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and core business functions. We're recruiting across many areas as we stand up the hub. Across all roles, we're looking for people who are comfortable with ambiguity in the early stages of a build, who can establish process where none exists yet, and who want a genuine hand in shaping how this site operates long-term.

Requirements

• Significant experience running or building teams, functions, or sites in a research, biotech, pharma, or related scientific environment (for leadership and senior roles)
• Credibility to operate as a trusted partner to Texas Biomed and other stakeholders (for leadership and senior roles)
• Proven experience in your discipline, ideally gained in a lab, life sciences, R&D, or regulated environment (for program, engagement, finance, and operations roles)
• Flexibility to adapt established practice to a brand-new site (for program, engagement, finance, and operations roles)
• Comfortable with ambiguity in the early stages of a build
• Ability to establish process where none exists yet
• Must be based within commuting distance of San Antonio, Texas
• On-site presence at the Texas Biomed facility will be required
