US Infrastructure Engineer

Solve Intelligence•New York, NY
•$120,000 - $250,000•Onsite

About The Position

Solve Intelligence is building AI for the global IP industry and is establishing its first engineering team in New York. As the first engineer in New York, you will work closely with the London infrastructure team and own how Solve is deployed, secured, and operated for its largest US customers, many of whom require fully isolated environments that meet strict security requirements. This is a hands-on founding role involving architectural decisions, substantial Terraform work, and direct collaboration with the founders and customers’ security teams. You will make enterprise deployments repeatable across single-tenant, isolated, and air-gapped environments; design and operate AWS environments with Terraform, including regulated and government-grade environments; build security and compliance controls into infrastructure; and serve as the technical owner during customer security reviews. You will also improve reliability and observability, own incident response for US environments, and enhance CI/CD so the team can ship safely and efficiently. Initial priorities include making the custom enterprise deployment process repeatable across customers and environments, hardening and documenting security controls for US regulated environments, and establishing on-call, monitoring, and runbooks for US customers. The role is in person in New York five days a week.

  • Experience owning production cloud infrastructure, ideally on AWS, beyond configuring it.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or ECS and deployment pipelines built personally.

  • Strong Python skills and comfort building backend services and integrating infrastructure into a product.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 environments.
