About The Position

As a founding member of Docebo’s Forward Deployed Engineering team, you will connect cutting-edge AI technology with real-world customer impact. Working directly with strategic enterprise customers, you will transform complex learning and development workflows into autonomous, high-impact AI agents. You will turn customer challenges and hands-on insights into reusable platform capabilities, while establishing the FDE function, defining its practices and success measures, and helping shape the future of AI-first learning. This role calls for someone comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking end-to-end ownership. You will define how the team works, create internal playbooks and operational rituals, and help determine the technical roadmap and cross-functional organization design. You will own solutions from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization. The position follows Docebo’s hybrid work philosophy: three days a week in the office, Tuesday through Thursday, with flexibility for the rest of the week. Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products.
Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
Customer-centric approach and the confidence and communication skills to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders.
Ability to work with ambiguity, make high-stakes decisions with partial information, and take ownership of undefined problems from zero to one.
Proven ability to build prototypes quickly, experiment, and iterate using real-world usage and customer feedback.
Proficiency with React and TypeScript for frontend development and Next.js and TypeScript for backend development.
Strong architectural background and experience with distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers.
Experience with engineering tools such as GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

Establish the operating approach for the founding Forward Deployed Engineering team, including internal playbooks and operational rituals.
Partner with strategic enterprise customers to map complex learning and development workflows and identify high-impact opportunities for agentic AI.
Design, build, and deploy custom AI agents that integrate with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub.
Translate customer insights and bespoke solutions into scalable platform enhancements and features.
Own the product lifecycle from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization.
Help define the FDE team’s technical roadmap, culture, and cross-functional organizational design.
