Founding Evangelist

HeraNew York, NY
Onsite

About The Position

Hera is creating a new profession in healthcare called the Hero, a dedicated senior care expert for families. Heroes educate, coordinate, and advocate for vulnerable populations, with services covered by insurance to serve all families in America. The company is focused on building trust and providing care that is exceptional enough for one's own parents. Hera has secured $7M in seed funding led by Accel, has 10x'd revenue organically in the last six months through partnerships with Weill Cornell, NYU Langone, and Mount Sinai, and has received highly positive customer feedback. The founding team includes individuals from Headway and Palantir, and the company operates in person in NYC.

Requirements

  • Ability to build trust quickly with partners.
  • Genuine passion for the mission and ability to convey that passion.
  • Belief that Hera will care for patients better than anyone else.
  • Relentless drive, but not transactional; play the long game.
  • Ability to engineer introductions over weeks or find unconventional ways to engage.
  • Treat 'no' as information, not a final answer.
  • Every action must be in service of building lasting trust.
  • Ability to deeply read people, understand their unspoken needs and hesitations.
  • Ability to move people through understanding rather than pushing harder.
  • Builder mentality; thrive in ambiguity and bring clarity.
  • Rigorous in evaluating what is working and what is not.
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Go-To-Market (GTM) or sales in a conventional sense is not the primary focus; the role requires evangelism.
  • Experience convincing geriatricians, social workers, nurses, population health leaders, and health system executives.
  • Creative thinking and ability to invent what hasn't been done.
  • Experience with unconventional partnership strategies (e.g., community events that serve as partnership wedges).

Responsibilities

  • Own the health system referral engine from day one.
  • Map out the ecosystem of partners: identify who refers, who champions, and understand each persona's motivations.
  • Build and run outreach to new health systems in New York, New Jersey, and for national expansion.
  • Build the playbook for health system referrals and invent new approaches.
  • Develop strategies that may include classic Business Development tactics like stakeholder mapping, in-services, and executive relationship building.
  • Identify and implement creative, non-traditional methods for partnership and scaling, similar to community events that also serve as partnership wedges.
  • Think from first principles to find creative ways to stand out and scale.
  • Track personal metrics and iterate on strategies without direct instruction.

Benefits

  • Stretch your limits and trust to own unreasonably substantial outcomes.
