Founding Director, Enterprise Sales

ISMG CareersNew York, NY
$140,000 - $160,000

About The Position

CyberEd.io is the cybersecurity education and training division of ISMG, a global leader in cybersecurity intelligence. Unlike traditional learning platforms, CyberEd.io helps organizations build and demonstrate measurable cyber readiness through practitioner-led training, executive simulations, hands-on labs, industry-leading events, and on-demand learning. The company is entering its next stage of growth and is seeking a commercial leader to define its go-to-market strategy. This role is for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants to play a foundational role in shaping the future of CyberEd.io. The Founding Director of Enterprise Sales will partner with executive leadership to validate the go-to-market strategy, refine the ideal customer profile, develop repeatable sales processes, secure flagship enterprise customers, and build the commercial foundation for future sales teams. Initially, the role will be an individual contributor responsible for pipeline creation, closing enterprise business, and gathering market intelligence. As the business grows, the role will transition into building and leading a high-performing enterprise sales organization. This position is ideal for someone who has helped build an early-stage cybersecurity company, business unit, or product.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a strong record of new business development.
  • Significant experience selling cybersecurity training, cybersecurity education, cyber workforce development, or closely related enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
  • Demonstrated success helping build or scale an early-stage business, startup, or new business unit.
  • Experience selling directly to CISOs, security executives, and executive buying committees.
  • Proven ability to create repeatable sales processes—not simply execute existing ones.
  • Experience navigating long, complex enterprise sales cycles.

Nice To Haves

  • You're a builder.
  • You enjoy solving problems that don't yet have documented processes.
  • You thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written.
  • You take ownership instead of waiting for direction.
  • You naturally look for solutions before raising problems.
  • You're energized by helping shape a business—not simply selling into one.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to validate and refine CyberEd.io's go-to-market strategy.
  • Gather customer feedback to continuously improve messaging, positioning, packaging, and market approach.
  • Refine ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, and qualification criteria through real customer engagement.
  • Develop repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices that will support future growth.
  • Establish forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operating rhythms.
  • Identify, engage, and close new enterprise customers across CyberEd.io's portfolio of cybersecurity education and readiness solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, security executives, L&D leaders, GRC leaders, CIOs, and executive buying committees.
  • Own the complete enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on long-term partnerships and multi-year enterprise agreements.
  • Consistently build and manage a healthy pipeline while providing accurate forecasting.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by bringing market insights directly back to product and leadership.
  • Identify competitive trends, customer objections, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Help validate pricing, packaging, and commercial models through customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Carlos and cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the customer offering.
  • Build repeatable sales methodologies.
  • Develop onboarding materials and sales enablement resources.
  • Help recruit, mentor, and eventually lead future Account Executives.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
