About The Position

UGLYCASH is building a financial platform for internet earners like creators, freelancers, remote workers, and entrepreneurs, starting in Latin America. Having achieved $5M+ in revenue run rate and 32,000+ monthly active customers in 22 months, the company is now focused on creating better money experiences. The role of Founding Designer is crucial for leading brand and product design. This individual will collaborate directly with founders, engineers, and another designer, focusing on making impactful decisions and executing the work. The core of the role involves product design, from conceptualization and user experience to interface design and iteration. Additionally, the designer will own brand evolution, including visual identities and design systems, viewing product and brand as a unified experience. The ideal candidate is a product thinker who ships, possesses strong taste and craft in design, is resourceful and independent, and is AI-native in their practice. The company values demonstrated work and product decisions over titles or years of experience.

Responsibilities

Lead brand and product design.
Work directly with founders, engineers, and one other designer.
Decide what's worth building.
Turn complex financial ideas into simple experiences.
Own details from early flows and prototypes to polished interfaces, implementation, and iteration.
Evolve visual identities, design systems, and how projects show up in the world.
Use AI to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and execution.
