About The Position

The Foundation Operations Strategist is responsible for the administration, compliance, and oversight of all donor‑restricted and endowed funds for the Foundation. Reporting to the Director of Foundation Operations, this position ensures that restricted dollars are documented, tracked, allocated, and spent in accordance with donor intent, organizational policies, and applicable accounting standards. The role performs advanced analytical, operational, and compliance functions, including fund reconciliation, financial reporting, audit preparation, and endowment management. The Strategist serves as the primary subject‑matter expert and central point of contact for restricted‑fund policies and processes, providing guidance, training, and technical support to internal stakeholders. This position works collaboratively with Finance, Foundation, and program leaders to support accurate fund usage, maintain financial integrity, and enable effective planning and decision‑making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a non-profit management, business accounting or related field.
  • 4-6 years experience in database administration/management, donor/gift acknowledgement

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years of experience in hospital philanthropy, development operations, or non-profit finance
  • Deep understanding of donor intent, non-profit accounting principles
  • Restricted funds administration, accounting knowledge and data management
  • Demonstrate influence without authority and building relationships across hospital systems
  • CRM proficiency (Excel and financial reporting tools)
