About The Position

IESC has a Summer 2026 internship opportunity available within its Executive Office focused on Foundation Fundraising. This is an unpaid internship. The successful applicant must be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week. Students that have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program within twelve (12) months of applying are eligible for the internship.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven research and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and interest in nonprofits, foundations, fundraising, international economic development, and/or business

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship(s) and/or professional work experience preferred
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of and interest in nonprofits, fundraising, international economic development, business, or international affairs is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research of pre-identified foundations and other funders, as well as identify and research additional funders, for funding of two new program models aligned to our mission
  • Help develop communications to the targeted funders and conduct associated follow up
  • Help develop tailored proposals and related submissions specific to each funder
  • Related and additional duties as assigned
