About The Position
This role involves approving and monitoring foster homes to ensure foster parents meet the basic needs of CINC children. The Foster Home Social Worker is a member of the CINC Team and participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours abuse/neglect investigations and foster home emergencies. This includes petitioning the court for after-hours CINC removals and presenting cases in court.
Requirements
- Six months to two years of experience in child or youth care, teaching, foster care, delinquency prevention, juvenile court systems, community work related to children and youth, mental health systems, nursing, or other areas involving contact or interaction with youth or families.
- Bachelor's Degree or four years of accredited college coursework.
- Licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Responsibilities
- Approve and monitor foster homes.
- Ensure foster parents meet CINC children's basic needs.
- Serve as a CINC Team Member.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours abuse/neglect investigations/foster home emergencies.
- Petition court for after-hours CINC removals and present in court.
