The FGP Project Manager is responsible for the daily management of the Foster Grandparent Program and functions as a working project manager, actively involved with community organizations, volunteers, and volunteer stations. The Project Manager serves as the representative of RS in signing and approving official project documentation, including project reports, and memoranda of understanding. The Project Manager will abide by RS’ established procedures for internal review and its standard policies and procedures. A high level of cultural competency and respect for diversity is essential given the diverse and traumatized population RS serves. RS has served alongside our neighbors in the urban core of Kansas City, MO, for 30+ years. Desiring to accept the challenge to “love thy neighbor,” we approach each person with dignity and love. Our programs strategically address community needs for affordable food access, safe environments to gather to combat social isolation and build positive community connections, job training and educational support, and increased access to social and mental health services that lead to improved health and self-sufficiency.
