About The Position

Foster Family Services Consultant at Boys Town helps place children in safe, supportive foster homes. This role involves developing service plans, guiding foster families, and ensuring children thrive. The position is based in Omaha, NE, with a starting pay based on experience. It is a full-time role with primarily weekday shifts, including an on-call rotation and occasional early mornings/evenings. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field
  • 1+ year experience working with children and families
  • Ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of job
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check
  • Meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or State and Local laws
  • Available rotationally to provide crisis response
  • Must be available to work non-traditional business hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate foster care placements and develop individualized service plans
  • Set and evaluate short- and long-term goals for each child
  • Monitor and support foster families through regular visits and training
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and community professionals
  • Respond to client emergencies and assist in reunification or aftercare services
